KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – God’s Kitchen of Michigan and Broncos Kitchen, nonprofit hunger relief charities serving greater Kalamazoo County, will co-host a free Martin Luther King Day Jr. dinner Monday, January 16
Dinner will be served from 5:00-6 :00 p.m. at the Wesley Foundation, 2350 Ring Road North in Kalamazoo. The church is located just off Western Michigan University’s campus.
The menu will consist of fried chicken, a veggie dish, macaroni & cheese, collard greens, blackeye peas, yams, dessert, and bottled water. Dinner is open to the general public. College student identification is not required to participate at this holiday meal. Limit one dinner per person.
Sponsors include Seelye Auto Group, Walmart Stores, the Salvation Army of Kalamazoo, God’s Kitchen of Michigan, and Broncos Kitchen.
God’s Kitchen of Michigan is a private nonprofit corporation serving free dinners for citizens living in Battle Creek, Kalamazoo, and Portage. There are no income, identification or religious requirements to participate. The soup kitchen is based at Portage Chapel Hill Church.
Broncos Kitchen is a private nonprofit corporation serving free dinners on Mondays and Thursdays to enrolled Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo College, and Kalamazoo Valley Community College students and their immediate families. It is based at the Wesley Foundation.
All meals are served on a first-come, first-served basis.
