COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – When the new school year begins for Coldwater School District students three weeks from tomorrow, Dr. Tina Kerr will no longer be the Superintendent of Coldwater Community Schools. Dr. Kerr will be leaving the district for a new job at the end of the month.
The website of MASA, the Michigan Association of School Administrators said last week that Kerr on September 1, 2015 will become the new MASA Deputy Executive Director as well as Executive Director of the Michigan Institute for Educational Management. Kerr has been Superintendent of Schools in Coldwater since 2010.
No announcement of Kerr’s pending departure has been made by the Coldwater Board of Education or the district’s administration. The next regular meeting of the Coldwater Board of Education is Monday, August 24.
Earlier this year, Kerr was in the running to become the new Superintendent of the Ingham Intermediate School District before that ISD filled their post in March with another candidate. Kerr also has been serving on the MASA Executive Board over the past couple of years and had just started her role as the 2015-16 Board President.
