KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A Thursday morning, August 17 search warrant in Kalamazoo leads to the seizure of two unregistered pistols.
This comes after members of the Kalamazoo Valley Enforcement Team and the Kalamazoo Metro SWAT team executed the search warrant at a residence in the 800 block of W. Walnut Street.
This, authorities say was prompted by citizens who tipped them off to drug sales and the possession of illegal firearms inside the home, resulting in a month-long investigation. That investigation uncovered two unregistered pistols, various types of ammunition and illegal drugs.
While no arrests were immediately made, officials say the investigation is ongoing with further federal tracing of the firearms to occur.
