BATTLE CREEK, MI (WNWN/WTVB) – Renovations on the first floor at Battle Creek City Hall are scheduled to start on Monday, January 8, 2024 and City staff will ask everybody to follow the “yellow-brick road”.
Through March, visitors will follow the signs and arrows to temporary locations for the Clerk’s Office and for Code/Inspections.
City employees have been clearing walls and moving furniture as they prepare for the project which officials say will make City Hall more accessible, safe, and welcoming for both visitors and staff.
In addition to the most visited first floor offices being reconfigured, the public entrance will be moved to the south side of City Hall facing Michigan Avenue.
For the first part of 2024, the Clerk’s Office will be on the second floor in room 216. Code and Inspections will be on the first floor, just beyond Room 104.
