METRO DETROIT, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Vice President Kamala Harris and running mate Minnesota Governor Tim Walz held their largest rally to date last night at Detroit Metro Airport.
Harris told supporters there is a lot on the line in the November election and added “when we fight, we win.”
Walz introduced himself to Michigan voters, saying he “had the privilege of teaching high school social studies and coaching football.” Harris will hold a UAW event this afternoon in Wayne.
Harris was briefly interrupted during her presidential rally by pro-Palestine protestors.
They were chanting that they “won’t vote for genocide” and Harris responded with “You know what? If you want Donald Trump to win, then say that. Otherwise, I’m speaking.”
That brought the loudest applause of the night for her from the 15-thousand in attendance.
Ohio Senator and Republican Vice Presidential nominee JD Vance held a rally at the Shelby Township police station yesterday.
The event was much smaller than the rally at Detroit Metro Airport for Democratic Presidential nominee Kamala Harris and running mate Tim Walz.
Vance told people at his rally that if elected, he and former President Donald Trump will deport people who are in the U.S. illegally.
He also accused Walz of “stolen valor,” saying he abandoned his National Guard unit just before they were deployed to Iraq.
Walz left the National Guard after 24 years of service to run for Congress in 2005.
