KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — The city of Kalamazoo has now lifted a boil water alert for a small section of the Winchell Neighborhood that was impacted by a loss of pressure when a water main broke last weekend.
The alert was a precaution in case contamination was introduced to the system.
The area affected included a two-block portion of Tipperary Road and Waite to Benjamin. It also includes a block and a half of Benjamin from Oakland and a block and a half of Finch from Waite. Also, the homes along Oakland and Winchell from Benjamin to Tipperary are in the zone.
Those homes can now resume using their tap water.
