THREE RIVERS (WKZO-AM) — Three people have been hospitalized in Kalamazoo after a two-vehicle collision southwest of Three Rivers in St. Joseph County.
Michigan State Police say 85-year-old Lloyd Hagenbuch failed to stop at Krull and Gleason roads, plowing his Chevrolet Silverado into a Ford pickup, which rolled over.
The driver of the pickup, 53-year-old Dayton Smith, managed to crawl out of the wreck, but his passenger, 44-year old Tara Scott, had to be extracted. Scott and Hagenbuch were transported to Bronson Methodist Hospital.
Smith was stabilized at Three Rivers Hospital, then airlifted to Borgess Medical Center.
Their conditions were not released. The accident remains under investigation.
