BERRIEN COUNTY (WKZO-AM) — An Elkhart, Ind., woman may be lucky to be alive after her motorcycle collided with three cars on U.S. 12 in Galien Township late Sunday afternoon.
Berrien County Sheriff’s deputies said was westbound on U.S. 12 at around 5 p.m. when her bike strayed over the centerline and sideswiped a station wagon and an SUV, then collided head-on with another vehicle.
Gloria Helenbolt, 50, was thrown from the bike on impact, and sustained serious injuries. She wasn’t wearing a helmet.
Her current condition at South Bend Memorial Hospital has not been released.
No other injuries were reported.
