KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety has identified the victim in Sunday’s homicide investigation as 44-year-old Alexis “Alex” Jose Freay-Caballero.
Around 5:40 p.m. KDPS officers responded to a report of a deceased individual found in a wooded area in the 100 block of Parkway Drive near Kings Highway and Michigan Avenue . When they arrived they found Freay-Caballero’s body. He was deceased and had apparent injuries.
The circumstances surrounding his death continue to be investigated by the KDPS Criminal Investigations Division and Kalamazoo Forensic Crime Laboratory.
