BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Battle Creek Police Department Gang Suppression Unit recently conducted an investigation involving two 19-year-old men who are currently incarcerated at the Calhoun County Jail on robbery charges.
As a result of the investigation, the Calhoun County Prosecutor’s Office authorized one count of solicitation to commit murder against each individual.
The investigation began after jail staff and inmates provided information to law enforcement.
Officers gathered evidence and conducted follow-up interviews before submitting the case to the Calhoun County Prosecutor’s Office for review.
The names of the inmates facing the additional charges were not released.
