LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Michigan Department of Transportation is going to remove traffic restrictions on 91 of its 156 road construction projects over the Labor Day holiday.
MDOT says that is nearly 60% of the restrictions currently in place.
Some equipment and traffic configurations will remain over Labor Day, but officials say suspending the roadwork will improve safety for everyone.
Barrels will be moved to the side of the road where possible from 3:00 p.m. tomorrow through 6:00 a.m. Tuesday.
