ALLEGAN, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Sept. 24, 2026) – A new event for a relatively new non-profit agency is set for Friday evening in Allegan.
“We’re All Seedfolks: A Farm-to-Table Community Experience” aims to bring farmers, food, theater, and community conversation together for about three hours. It begins at 6 PM at the Griswold Auditorium with a “Taste of Allegan County,” followed by “Seedfolks,” a live play telling a story of strangers who become a community through a shared garden, and concluding with a family-style “farm-to-table” dinner and community conversation.
It’s put forth by the two-year-old Allegan Food Alliance, whose mission, says Executive Director Mary Colborn, is to “strengthen connections among farmers, food producers, organizations, and residents” througout the county.
According to Colborn, “We’re All Seedfolks is not a fundraiser. Taste of Allegan County and the play are free and require no registration. The dinner requires advance registration because seating is limited, and there is a suggested contribution of $25, but community-sponsored seats are available and cost does not have to be a barrier.” More information is available here.
