KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Kalamazoo County Prosecutor’s Office says charges will not be filed against a 21-year-old man who injured three people in a stabbing near Western Michigan University on Sunday.
Prosecutor Jeff Getting said the man was defending himself after he was “jumped” by six to eight people and he was acting in self-defense.
Getting says one of the stabbing victims admitted they “had jumped the guy” and knew “they were in the wrong.”
Two 18-year-old men and one 17-year-old suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
