PARCHMENT, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in Parchment Thursday afternoon and was unresponsive when emergency responders arrived.
It happened in the 800 block of S. Riverview Drive at around 2:30 p.m.. Officers at the scene located a male subject lying in the roadway and provided life-saving measures. The victim was transported to a local hospital and was lasted in critical condition. Officials haven’t released the name of the victim.
The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and the investigation is ongoing. Impaired driving is not believed to be a factor. Anyone who may have witnessed is asked to contact the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety or Silent Observer.
