MATTAWAN (WKZO AM/FM) — One woman is recovering from a gunshot wound, two others have been arrested after another police officer involved shooting.
A Police Officer is being investigated after a high speed chase ended in a crash when a man and two women in a stolen car fled into a dead end street in Mattawan and wound up crashing into a fence. A foot chase followed.
Initial reports that the fleeing suspects were armed but that has not been verified. State Police Lt. Chuck Christensen says they will be investigating the shooting.
One of the women was arrested when she tried to sneak into a school building and staff alerted a police officer who was nearby. Schools in Mattawan were all locked down until the suspects were in custody.
