Buck Country 2023

Saturday morning November 4th, was a morning I’ve practiced and dreamed of ever since I started bowhunting at 12 years old. All of the miles put on over the seasons, the failures, and the so close but not quite years, and the good lord has provided. At 10:10 Saturday morning I was able to harvest my biggest buck to date at the property where it all started for me, and my dad. So many emotions after many dry years we all got to taste success that morning. At 9:15 I rattled, nothing. I was on high alert. Half hour has past so I rattled again. Then 15 minutes later he came out of the swamp took his last drink and walked by at 15 yds where I laid him to rest with honor. The lord is so good in ways I can’t even describe. I would like to thank my family for all the help and the countless sacrifices they make to allow me to pursue this dream God has put in me. It has been done. God is good.
