BENTON HARBOR (WKZO AM/FM) — A suspect on FBI’s “Ten Most Wanted Fugitives” list accused of killing 2 people in Benton Harbor is now in custody.
40-year-old Antwan Tamon Mims was arrested in Georgia around 4 p.m. Tuesday and faces 2 counts of 1st degree murder as well as a couple of felony firearm and weapon charges.
Mims was wanted for fatally shooting 22-year-old Cortez Miller and 29-year-old Michael Johnson outside a party on Lavette Avenue in Benton Harbor back on March 25th.
About 100 partygoers witnessed Mims shoot the victims and then calmly walk up to them to fire multiple bullets at them again while they were lying on the ground injured.
Authorities say Mims was affiliated with a gang and put on the FBI’s 10 most-wanted list at the end of June.
