PORTAGE (WKZO AM/FM) — Portage Public Safety will be seeking charges from the Prosecutor Monday against two Kalamazoo residents suspected in a stabbing after a fight in a parking lot outside a private party at the Renaissance Banquet Hall early Sunday morning.
Two people from Kalamazoo, aged 36 and 38, were loaded on board a Pride Care ambulance at about 1:20 am and taken from the hall on Kilgore Road to Bronson Emergency, where they were treated and later released.
A 24-year-old was arrested and booked into the Kalamazoo County Jail right away.
A 26-year-old was tracked down by Kalamazoo Public Safety late yesterday morning and also booked into the jail.
Detectives will be interviewing the two victims to try and determine a motive for the armed assault.
About 200 attended the private party.
