BATTLE CREEK (WKZO AM/FM) — Everything is new in Battle Creek…well maybe not everything.
Brian Sturdivant is coming back to the Cereal City to be its new Fire Chief.
He is tentatively scheduled to start on September 24th. The Battle Creek native has more than 25 years of experience, much of it gained elsewhere, most recently as a Deputy Chief in Viirginia.
He replaces Dave Schmaltz who is the new fire chief in Coldwater.
Also new today, the new Battle Creek Police Department headquarters is open for business now that all operations have moved into the new structure.
They are asking for patience as they transition into the new facility at 34 N. Division St..
