COMSTOCK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Former Kalamazoo County Commissioner Jerome Kohel has died from injuries he suffered when he was struck by a truck last weekend along Gull Road.
Kalamazoo County Deputies say he was out for a walk with his wife when he was struck and rushed to Borgess Medical Center with critical injuries.
The long time Republican and conservative activist succumbed to those injuries over the weekend.
Funeral Services are set for 10:00am Thursday at St. Ann Catholic Church in Augusta.
Arrangements are being handled by the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home in Richland.
Kohel was 74.
