WHITE PIGEON, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Two are dead and seven are injured after a house fire in White Pigeon.
Firefighters were dispatched to the 100 block of West Chicago Road around 3:30 a.m. Tuesday and found smoke billowing from the home.
There were 11 people in the home, two got out on their own, 7 had to be rescued, and a pregnant mother and a 7-year-old boy were killed in the blaze.
The White Pigeon Fire Chief says 2 of those who were rushed to the hospital are in critical condition.
An investigation is underway and no further details have been released at this time.
White Pigeon is located south of Three Rivers near the Indiana border
