BATTLE CREEK (WKZO AM/FM) — Battle Creek’s Fire Marshal will investigate the cause of an early Sunday morning fire in a home at 396 Cliff Street.
First responders arrived a little before 7am and fought the fire from the interior while performing a search for victims.
It may have been a kitchen fire that that was quickly contained to the kitchen/living room area on the first floor of the 2-story wood frame home.
One resident was taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure.
No damage estimate was released.
