COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Expressing a desire to work in his family farming business, Trent Arver will be leaving as the Branch County Road Commission Engineer and Manager in early January 2019.
Road Commission Board member Gary Malcolm says the board took formal action to accept Arver’s resignation following a closed session on October 25.
The position has been posted and several resumes have been submitted. Malcom says the board is hoping to find a replacement before Arver is scheduled to leave.
In his letter of resignation to the board, Arver said “I have the utmost respect and appreciation for you and the staff of the Branch County Road Commission and thank you for the opportunity to serve the citizens of Branch County.” He went on to state, “after months of prayer and reflection, I have decided to pursue an opportunity to return to the family business. It is where my heart lies; and where the Lord is leading me. I have enjoyed helping replace and maintain the roads and bridges across the county and doing our best to keep the traveling public safe.”
