HILLSDALE, MI (WTVB) – The case of a suspect who is being held in connection with an August 16th Hillsdale County double homicide has been bound over to Hillsdale County Circuit Court following a District Court preliminary exam last Friday.
36-year-old Alexander Lee Dombrowski is scheduled to make his first appearance in Circuit Court November 26, 2018.
He is being held without bond at the Hillsdale County Jail on two counts of open murder and an additional count of possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
If convicted of first-degree murder, Dombrowski would face life in prison without the possibility of parole. The firearm charge would add two years in prison to any existing sentence if convicted.
He is accused of killing his 64-year-old father Alexander Lee Dombrowski and 56-year-old neighbor Timothy John Curtiss at a residence on Grange Road in Camden Township.
The younger Dombrowski was found five hours later in a bean field near the crime scene and was taken into custody without incident.
