BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A Calhoun County man will be going to trial for allegedly running over and killing a woman.
Instead of stopping, he drove to a lawyer’s office in Marshall where he was spotted and arrested. 51-year-old Kevin Frederick is charged with two 15-year-felonies, leaving the scene of a fatal accident and driving on a suspended license causing death.
On October 4, 2018, police say Frederick struck and killed 41-year-old Patricia Albrecht, a mother and wife, at an intersection near Bronson Battle Creek Hospital, where she worked.
Officials say Frederick was easy to spot, because his black pickup had a large Batman symbol in the back window.
He waived a preliminary exam Monday and was bound over for trial.
Frederick has a long history of driving infractions, and has been cited multiple times for driving on a suspended license.
