UNDATED (WNWN) – A Winter Weather Advisory that has been issued for a large portion of Lower Michigan by the National Weather Service, including Calhoun, Kalamazoo and St Joseph Counties, to go into effect at midnight Sunday night.
Forecasters says rain is expected to develop this evening before it changes over to snow. Winds will also increase to between 20 and 30 miles per hour with gusts to 35 miles per hour. Total snow accumulations are expected to range from 2 to 5 inches in St Joseph County with four to six inches expected in Calhoun and Kalamazoo Counties.
Branch County is not included in the advisory, but it expected to get one to two inches of snow Monday morning. Drivers should plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions are expected to impact the Monday morning commute.
