OTSEGO (WKZO AM/FM) — Four municipal water systems in Southern Allegan County have now been found to be safe to drink after additional testing conducted by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.
Those services in Otsego City, Otsego Township, Plainwell and Gun Plain Township were either non-detect or amounts well below dangerous levels of PCB, Furans and Dioxans.
They now say it will be mid-October before they get back test results on 56 samples taken from private water wells.
They are planning a town hall meeting on October 20 at Otsego Middle School to go over the results.
