COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A second suspect from Ohio who authorities say was involved in a home invasion on Burlew Road which led to a home occupant firing a gun at the intruders has entered into a plea agreement with the Branch County Prosecutor’s Office.
A Branch County Circuit Court spokesperson says 20-year-old Bryceton Owen Vanscoder of Bryan, Ohio entered a guilty plea Monday to a charge of attempted second degree home invasion.
Two original charges of second degree home invasion will be dismissed in exchange for the plea and a pending home invasion investigation involving Vanscoder will not be pursued by prosecutors.
Vanscoder is scheduled to be sentenced December 10, 2018. He was shot and wounded during the incident.
20-year-old co-defendant Branden Swander of Sandusky, Ohio has entered a guilty plea to the same charge.
Swander is scheduled to be sentenced November 19, 2018.
