KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — The City of Kalamazoo Water Utility says it has passed the State’s PFAS test.
The same testing regimen that revealed the problems in Parchment found no traces of the industrial contaminant in 12 of the city utility’s 15 wells and very low levels in three others.
The City says it will no longer use those three wells for daily use, but only draw water from them line in case of an emergency, a fire, or in peak usages periods.
