COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Michigan State Police say they are continuing to investigate a hit and run injury accident which happened Thursday morning on northbound I-69 about a half mile south of the Kinderhook exit near Southern Road.
Troopers say a semi hit the rear of a van just after 6:00 a.m. and kept going. The van driver, whose name was not released, was able to control his vehicle enough to pull it over and stop on the shoulder of the highway. State Police say the man was transported from the scene by Life Care Ambulance to ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital for treatment of what they described as minor injuries caused by the seat belt he was wearing when his van was rear ended.
Troopers searched the I-69 Welcome Center but didn’t find the semi involved in the crash.
