FLOWERFIELD TOWNSHIP, MI (WNWN) – Michigan State Police are looking for the driver of a pickup truck who drove away from an accident Monday morning in St. Joseph County involving the pickup and a motorcyclist.
State Police say the crash that took place at M-216 and Bent Road east of Marcellus at about 6:20 a.m. when they driver of a northbound silver Dodge Dakota extended cab pickup truck pulled into the path of an eastbound motorcycle.
The pickup driver then fled the scene heading west on M-216 without checking on the welfare of the motorcycle driver. As it turns out, the motorcyclist was not injured.
Troopers say the front driver’s side has damage including a broken headlight. Anyone with information is asked to call the Michigan State Police in Marshall at (269)558-0500 or Crime Stoppers at (574)288-STOP.
