JOHNSTOWN TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – Police say 58-year old Phillip Hanshaw of Union City was killed in a two vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon in Barry County.
According to the preliminary investigation by the Barry County Sheriff’s Department, Hanshaw’s southbound 2006 Saturn Ion, crossed the center line and struck a northbound 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the northbound vehicle, identified as 74 year old Rebecca Rouse of Delton, was transported by LifeCare Ambulance to Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
Both drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash. The crash remains under investigation.
