BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The City of Battle Creek has announced that it will begin a water valve replacement project this week beginning on the morning of July 7.
Residents should be aware that this project will cause temporary water outages in the following areas:
- Upton Avenue., between Dickman Road and city limits west of Angell Street
- Forest Street., between Dickman Road and Upton Avenue
- Magner Street, between Dickman Road and dead end
The estimated shut off time is Tuesday, July 7 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Door hangers have been placed on all affected homes.
City neighbors in this area should be prepared to be without water and for a potential boil water advisory when service returns. Additional information will be made available to the media and through the city’s website and social media should it become necessary.
Areas and times could change due to unforeseen circumstances.
During this work, Forest Street, between Dickman Road and Upton Avenue, will be closed from 8 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Emergency vehicles will NOT have access.
All motorists should seek alternate routes while this project is underway.
