COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A suspect in a Saturday morning stabbing death at the Quality Inn in Coldwater is being held without bond in the Branch County Jail following his Branch County District Court arraignment.
33-year-old Arial Moreira-Gonzalez of Miami, Florida is facing an open murder charge.
Police were called to the motel at about 3:00 a.m. Saturday, where they found a Texas man who had been stabbed. He was later pronounced dead.
Moreira-Gonzalez was apprehended a short time later by Michigan State Police on U.S. 12 on the west side of Quincy after witnesses provided police with a description of the suspect and the vehicle he was driving.
Police say the stabbing took place after there was apparently drinking and an argument between the two men.
