KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Several streets are under a boil water advisory as crews work to repair a water valve on Kalamazoo’s Pleasant Avenue.
The advisory was issued by city officials on Wednesday and impacts residents living in the following areas:
- Pleasant Avenue on both sides of the street from Duke Street to Westnedge Avenue. The advisory does not include The Ark services for youth property.
- South Westnedge on both sides of the street from Parker Avenue to Pratt Road.
- Pleasant Home Court from South Westnedge Avenue to the dead end of Pleasant Home Court on both sides of the street.
- The southeast corner of Pembrook Street and Pleasant Avenue.
The boil water advisory urges affected residents to avoid any tap water used for consumption or ingested. City officials say the advisory is expected to be lifted within 72 hours, or on Saturday, March 14th.
