We joked about them in the 80's when our family owned one. We thought they were dorky and lacked style.
I have to admire the one I saw today though. It was a throwback and definitely triggered some childhood memories. Back in the day; wayyyy back when, Kimmy was a youngster, and she thought sedan's were considered old folks cars. But the coupe, alas the coupe, was something a younger person could appreciate and relate to. Little did I know when I was a mere amoeba, coupe's were a pain in the rear. Literally, it is a painful maneuver for someone over five feet to climb into the back of a coupe. So, fast forward, 40 years later, I've come to appreciate this little box car. Wouldn't want to own one, or climb in and out of the back seat, but I did get a charge out of seeing it in the parking structure at work.
Oooooo…check out the hood ornament. You don't see that very often.
Notice the air freshener thingee in the back seat. It may have an unpleasant odor inside the car.
