KALAMAZOO (WKZO) — Hundreds turned out to attend the dedication of the new Criminal Justice Complex on Gull Road in Kalamazoo County and to tour the new facility which opens in a couple of weeks.
It was the only chance for the public to see some parts of the structure, which will be off-limits for security reasons when the building is functioning.
Deputy Administrator John Faul says it was built for $24-million, on time and under budget using local architects and contractors, with money they saved for the project.
He says several courts and offices will be consolidated in the new building.
It’s scheduled to open for business on March 8th.
