KALAMAZOO TOWNSHIP (WKZO AM/FM) — The Kalamazoo Township Board is hoping that now that they have approved their ordinance for regulating medical marijuana businesses, that some entrepreneurs will come along and open up a few businesses.
Township Manager Dexter Mitchell says they will make license applications available on March 1st and has no idea how long the process will take.
It appears that some are interested, but applicants are going to have to go through a gauntlet of local planning and zoning boards and regulators, and then deal with state regulators, pay a great deal of money for fees, with no guarantee they will be approved.
