KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – In light of rising COVID-19 cases within the community, the Arts Council of Greater Kalamazoo (ACGK) will convert its February Art Hop from an in-person event to a virtual experience.
The event is still scheduled for Friday, February 4.
The theme of this month’s Art Hop celebrates the Chinese Lunar New Year and the Year of the Tiger.
Officials say the virtual format allows individuals to enjoy an authentic Art Hop experience and will introduce 11 artists, including featured artists Cathy Jou, Maya James and Tony Kaufman.
Virtual attendees can also experience two art exhibitions and the entire event from the convenience of mobile and desktop devices anytime, anywhere, officials said.
To access the event, participants can visit the February Art Hop mobile brochure any time after 12:01 a.m. on Friday, February 4.
There, an informative February Art Hop video and corresponding electronic brochure will guide virtual attendees through the event’s exhibitions and individual artists’ artwork.
The February Art Hop video will also be available on the ACGK website after 12:01 a.m. on Friday, February 4.
