GRAND RAPIDS, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Four finalists have been named in the search for the next Grand Rapids police chief.
Interim Police Chief Joseph Trigg is one of them and has spent over 25 years with the department and is currently the deputy chief.
The other finalists are Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety Captain Rafael Diaz, Detroit Police Department Deputy Chief Mark Bliss, and former University of Texas at Austin Police Chief Eve Stephens.
Each finalist has over 25 years experience in law enforcement.
Bliss and Stephens each hold a masters degree, and Diaz is a licensed attorney and has served as a Michigan National Guard judge advocate.
