Calling someone “Weird” is a campaign tactic now in the political game. That made me think. Is
calling someone “Weird” really a true insult, and I’m really not sure that it is.
Over my lifetime, I’ve been given the best insults that make me giggle to this day. All insults
were well deserved, but here are the top 5 insults I’ve received…
#5 – “Prove it that you can walk and chew gum at the same time!”
#4 – “You are a dumpster fire and I have a match if you want to end it all now!”
#3 – “How have you been able to care for yourself through life…seriously, eat a sandwich.”
This insult needs a little backstory. I wear an ‘A’ and I’ve always said “‘A’ is okay!” Well, it was
1990 something and ‘Water Bras’ were the rage, and of course, I jumped in! I went two sizes up
(it was heavy). I wore the bra to work and my cohort looked me in the eyes, then at my chest and
said…
#2 – “What you got going on over there?”
And the best insult I’ve ever received was when I was on a 3-man morning show (2 chicks and
one guy). One morning, he made this statement: “I thought cycling had to do with a bike until I
met you two.”
Thinking back on all the insults I’ve ever gotten, “Weird” was not one of them. In fact, when
someone called me “Weird,” I took it as a compliment. To me, it meant I was following my own
path.
Through the years, I’ve worked with the wittiest people and, in some ways, an insult was truly a
compliment. It meant they liked you enough to express their thoughts.
I guess my insult memories are the greatest memories. They’re filled with immediate laughter
with friends, family, and coworkers who cared about me.
I’m one lucky chick…and come on, we all know I’m a dumpster fire.
Light her up!
You are literally too stupid to insult…
