KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A shooting on the north side of Kalamazoo has resulted in two teenagers being hospitalized with injuries.
Kalamazoo Public Safety responded to the shots being fired around 6 p.m. Tuesday on North Park Street near Hopkins Street.
They quickly found a 15-year-old boy with a gunshot wound to his lower back, and he was taken to Bronson Hospital by Life EMS.
Police then found a 14-year-old boy with a gunshot wound to one of his forearms, and he was taken by Life EMS to Beacon Health System.
The two are believed to have been shot in the backyard of a home in the 1700 block of North Park Street.
No suspect information is available, and the investigation is ongoing.
