GRAND RAPIDS, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Western Michigan University and the West Michigan Aviation Academy are teaming up to help aviation students.
The two are partnering for a new pathway program to provide guaranteed admission opportunities every year for qualified WMAA students who want to enter WMU’s flight science program.
Five flight slots will be set aside at WMU every year for WMAA students who meet a certain grade point average, complete pre-requisites, and earn a recommendation.
WMU president Russ Kavalhuna, a graduate of the university’s College of Aviation, calls it a huge advantage for a highly competitive institution that receives over 2,000 applications every year.
