PORTAGE, MI ( WKZO AM/FM) – Several people were injured and northbound I-94 had to be closed after a single vehicle rollover accident Wednesday evening.
At approximately 7:00 p.m. the Portage Department of Public Safety – Fire Division was dispatched to that crash on northbound US-131 just north of I-94.
When they arrived crews located an SUV that had sustained extensive damage after rolling over. Several occupants required medical evaluation and treatment, including some with significant injuries.
Northbound US-131 was shut down during the incident and remained closed while the Michigan State Police conducted their investigation. Traffic was detoured from northbound US-131 to eastbound I-94.
