VOLINIA TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Cass County Sheriff’s Office says a landowner found a badly decomposed body in a Volinia Township farm field Thursday afternoon.
Deputies were dispatched to what was called “a suspicious situation” in the area of McKenzie Street and Churchill Street at 1:50 p,m. Assistance was requested from the Michigan State Police Mobile Crime Lab, who responded to the scene. Also assisting at the scene were detectives of the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office and the Medical Examiner’s Office.
