KALAMZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A Massachusetts man will spend between the next three and 20-years in a Michigan prison after being convicted of scamming a senior citizen in Portage of over $600,000.
38-year-old Xiao Yu Wang is also accused of defrauding another senior citizen in Portage and has other victims in Warren and West Branch.
Wang was also convicted in Iosco County of a similar offense.
He was ordered to pay $447,000 in restitution in the Portage case.
Portage Public Safety is still investigating him for the alleged crimes in southwest Michigan.
