ALLEN PARK, MI (WTVB) – The Detroit Lions continue to make changes to the roster as they prepare for their meeting with the Saints on “Monday Night Football” in New Orleans. Yesterday the team waived tackle LaAdrian Waddle, who had offseason knee surgery but started six games this season before losing his job last month to Michael Ola. To replace Waddle on the roster, Detroit claimed Gabe Ikard off waivers from the Browns.
The Lions also officially placed tight end Brandon Pettigrew on injured reserve yesterday after he tore the ACL in his left knee in Sunday’s loss at St. Louis. The team has signed free agent tight end Bear Pascoe to take Pettigrew’s place. Pascoe was released by the Bears in training camp this summer. The six year veteran played last season in Atlanta with two starts for the Falcons after spending his first five years in the league with the New York Giants.
