GRAND RAPIDS (WKZO-AM) — Five of Mercantile Bank’s 53 branches in Michigan will close during the first quarter of 2016, including one in Kalamazoo.
Staff at the branch on Gull Lake Road, along with the personnel from branches in Ashley, Higgins Lake, St. Louis and West Branch, will be moved to other locations in the system if openings are available.
They picked the branches with the lowest traffic as part of a company-wide, cost-efficiency review of Mercantile’s banking unit.
Affected customers are asked to use other branches or utilize online services.
