KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Tomorrow is an election day in Michigan, but ballot items are few and far between in Kalamazoo County.
Voters in the Otsego Public Schools district and the Gull Lake Community Schools district are the only two with ballot items.
Both districts will be renewing routine operating millages for businesses and second homes. The 18-mill levies do not apply to primary residential homes.
Both districts cross county borders. The Gull Lake Community Schools also includes part of Calhoun County, while the Otsego Public Schools district serves parts of Kalamazoo, Allegan, and Van Buren Counties, so conducting the votes is a collaborative effort.
