TEKONSHA, MI (WNWN/WTVB) – The driver of a passenger vehicle was seriously injured late Wednesday afternoon in a crash with a semi tractor trailer on southbound I-69 near M-60 in Tekonsha.
The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Department stated in a press release that the driver of the passenger vehicle sustained life threatening injuries and was transported to Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo in serious condition.
Extrication was used to remove the driver from the vehicle. The driver of the semi tractor trailer was uninjured.
Details of the crash as well as the names of the drivers involved were not released by the Sheriff’s Department.
The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office Accident Reconstruction Unit is still investigating the cause of the crash which shut down the southbound side of the interstate.
